Advent: Day 24

Tonight we did 2 'stories' for the Jesse Tree. We thought it would be neat for the kids to each be able to put an ornament on for the last night :)

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2:16-20



Activity Advent: Read "The Night Before Christmas"

Tonight was a very cool book for the kids. Last year Nana and Papa sent out a recorded book of themselves reading "The Night Before Christmas." Since we live across the country (pretty much) it is a neat way to have them here with us. I definitely wouldn't mention that it brought a couple tears to my hubs eyes as he heard his mom and dad's voices... ;)
